Cyberite Energon Cube and cables

The Cyberite Energon Cube holds Energon, and Energon Cable carries it over to your machines. You need a Cube to run the Ground Bridge, the Laptop and the Energon Converter. It can also power Cyberite Lamps and charge Cyberite Batteries, which are basically Cubes you can carry around that hold one and a half times as much.

If you had Energon Tanks from an older version, they turn into Cyberite Energon Cubes and keep whatever Energon was in them.

  • Right-click the Cube with a shard to fill it.
  • A dispenser pointed at the Cube will fill it with any shards in the dispenser.

The Cube takes Energon, Red Energon, Dark Energon and Tox-En, but only one kind at a time. Use it up or break it to switch to a different kind.

Shard Shards to fill a Cube Powers Quirk
Energon 16 Energon Converter, normal Lamps None
Red Energon 11 Red Energon Lamps Charges Batteries twice as fast
Dark Energon 8 Dark Energon Lamps Lasts twice as long when powering things
Tox-En 22 Tox-En Lamps Unstable, drains 50% faster

The Ground Bridge and Laptop run on Energon, Red Energon or Dark Energon, and the quirks still count, so Dark Energon keeps a bridge open twice as long. Tox-En only powers Tox-En Lamps for now. Batteries charge off any kind, as long as they’re empty or already hold the same kind.

Breaking a Cube empties it, so whatever Energon was inside is lost. Batteries are the portable option.

Cubes placed next to each other, in any shape, link up and share their Energon. It fills the bottom Cubes first and works its way up, so filling any one of them tops up the whole group. They only link while they hold the same kind of Energon.

Since the Cube is made of Cyberite, it rusts just like Cyberite does, slowly over time and faster if it gets wet. A Rusted Cube works exactly the same and doesn’t lose any Energon. You can scrape the rust off with an Axe, or wax it with Honeycomb to stop it rusting.

Run Energon Cable from the Cube to your machines. Cables connect up automatically when you place them next to each other.
