Tiny Cybertronian pests that eat metal.

You start out crawling, and bite with an empty hand for 8 damage every 0.3 seconds.

Press R to take off. You fly wherever you’re looking, and you speed up if you keep going in a straight line.

Press Z to see the world the way a Scraplet does, and press it again to switch back. Transformers, Vehicons, Terrorcons and Iron Golems show up in heat colours. Humans, animals and other mobs show as faint shapes, apart from the undead, which look cold. Fire, lava and other light sources show up warm, and dropped metal items and metal blocks stand out from the stone around them. It reaches as far as your render distance, but metal blocks only show within 32 blocks. It can’t see through walls.

Metal means anything Scraplets eat or the Polarity Gauntlet pulls, plus the Star Saber, Dark Star Saber, Polarity Gauntlet, Phase Shifter and Liege Maximo’s Arm. Any block with metal or Cyberite in its recipe counts too, like pistons and copper stairs.

The seeker tracks living metal you can see while it’s on. Aim towards one and it beeps faster the closer you get, then locks on with a steady tone and shows how far away it is. Arrows at the edge of your screen point to any that are off to the side or behind you.

  • It stays on until you switch it off, with no time limit or cooldown.
  • You can’t switch it on while you’re frozen solid.
  • It works with shader packs too, on Oculus and Iris.

While crawling, look at a solid block within 4 blocks and press V to dig into it. It has to be an ore or metal block Scraplets can nest in, or a full Cyberite or Cyberstone decoration block. Machines, lamps and lights don’t count. With the scrapletMorphsHideAnywhere gamerule on, any full solid block works. While you’re inside you’re invisible and can’t take damage.

  • Left-click while you’re hidden to peek out.
  • Press V again to come out.
  • Burrowing has a 30-second cooldown.
  • You can’t attack or break blocks while you’re hidden.

While crawling, right-click a human player or a Transformer in robot mode with an empty hand to climb up onto their head, and you’ll ride around with them.

  • Sneak to jump off.
  • The player you’re on can shake you off by sneaking for half a second.
  • Taking off or burrowing makes you jump off too.
  • If the Transformer you’re on changes into vehicle mode, you stay on its roof, and you don’t get crushed when it changes back.
  • You can’t climb onto another Scraplet, or onto someone who already has a Scraplet on them.

While crawling, right-click a Transformer in vehicle mode to hop on. You ride on its roof where everyone can see you instead of inside, so you don’t take up a seat. Sneak to get off (taking off or burrowing gets you off too).

Scraplets eat metal instead of Energon. Ingots, nuggets, ores, raw metal, metal tools and armour all count, and so do some Craftformers machines. Energon Cubes, Energon Cables and the Energon Converter don’t count. Bigger and rarer metals fill you up more, and Netherite fills you up the most.

Snowballs and powder snow make Scraplets cold. The colder you get the slower and weaker you are, and if you’re completely frozen you can’t transform until you thaw out.

If morphTeams is on, becoming a Scraplet puts you on the Scraplets team, so wild Scraplets treat you like one of them. Wild ones have their own page, Scraplets.
